Robbery at Wynn Casino baffles investigators
Las Vegas, NV — An armed robbery at the Wynn Casino this past Thursday has left investigators baffled, as three armed men stormed the casino floor and made off with $3.6 million in cash. According to Wynn security, the money was being prepared for transport to National City Bank in nearby Reno at the time of the heist.
Onlookers and tourists were shocked to see three men in black masks carrying automatic rifles burst onto the casino floor at just after 7:00 PM. In under 60 seconds, the criminals exited with 3 duffle bags full of untraceable cash.
The FBI is now in charge of the case, and the investigation is being led by Special Agent Rand Kershaw from the Las Vegas Armed Robbery Division. “This was a daring heist, the likes of which we haven’t seen for quite some time,” says Kershaw. “We believe the suspects had extensive military training and all the information they needed to pull something like this off. They knew exactly where to go.”
Security footage shows the three men escaping through a theater on the main floor, then rushing to a waiting car along the side street. The suspects are still at large and the casino has offered a $60,000 reward for any information leading to the arrests of the criminals.
